|
José Pacheco was superb against Calgary. The right-hander, who is rated as the 23rd best prospect by BNN, had a change up that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 8-4 Belugas victory. The winning pitcher was Pacheco, now 1-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9. Brinkley has a 5-game win streak, while Calgary has lost 3 in a row.
Brinkley right fielder Jouo Hirschovits made his contribution to the Belugas cause with a bases-clearing triple in the top of the third inning. For the day, Hirschovits went 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.
