The Brinkley Belugas beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 8-6, at Crane Field. The Belugas got a fine performance from shortstop Wu-shiun Wang, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Gary Ashley got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Getting the save was Pedro Huerta, his 4th.
