Voodoo Come Up Short at Philadelphia 1776
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Philadelphia 1776 BC eventually prevailed at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum.
The Philadelphia 1776 BC did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the New Orleans Voodoo at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum. Nobody did more than second baseman Sam Quint, who captured player of the game honors. Losses have been few and far between for the Voodoo so far this season. Their record drops to 6-3.
Quint had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a solo home run. The BC went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Quint.
