Late Rally by Supernovas Secures Win
|
The Scranton Supernovas got a strong performance from pitcher Félix Aluonado, who stymied the Santa Barbara offense en route to a 2-1 win at Nuclear Stadium. At 14-16, Scranton is in 6th place in the Premier AAA.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Scranton catcher José Rodríguez, facing Eijiro Takahashi, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Supernovas the 2-1 win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Rodríguez told reporters after the game.
