The Florida Men got a stellar performance from pitcher Atila Freska, who handcuffed the Santa Barbara offense en route to a 6-2 win at Crane Field. Freska, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Men.
Jim Halpert, who is tied for 7th in the PAAA with a .568 slugging percentage, chipped in for Florida with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
