Brinkley rode a fine outing from starter Ted Chong to victory over the Florida Men at Psychos Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. The winning pitcher was Chong, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Losses have been few and far between for the Men so far this season. Their record drops to 9-4.
Cisco Feijoo was 1-4 with a double for Brinkley. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Huibrecht Bik. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"Enjoyed this one," Feijoo told the Brinkley News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
