Bulls Win Again, Extend Streak to 6
|
The Bulls faced a stiff challenge from Grand Forks pitcher Ezra Peterson, but persevered to claim a win at Belleville Field. The final score was 2-0. Peterson went 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Lucho Pousa in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ezra Peterson took the loss. The Bulls, now 6-1, have been playing some good baseball.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from left fielder Kelsey Bailey. For the game, Bailey went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 6th hit of the season gave Belleville a 2-0 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Bailey. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
