César Morales pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Durham Rapiers, despite Morales's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Richland Rails at Rapiers Ballpark. Richland has now won 3 in a row.
In the top of the sixth inning, third baseman Kupaalani Bakana came through big-time for the Rails. With Richland leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
"It was a good effort all around," said Bakana.
