5 Straight Wins for Misfits
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks got a superb performance from third baseman Roberts Hamhock, but the Salem Misfits still won the game, 8-6. Hamhock was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to Austin Bizzle in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Espinosa took the loss. Salem has now won 5 straight.

Salem took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jean Couturier stroked a 2-run double to make it 8-6, Misfits.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Couturier, "but we got it done."
