|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks topped the Billings Polar Bears by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Anastasio Flores. Flores went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Thunder Hawks on the day. Ft. Polk South is 58-35 and Billings, with the loss, 41-52.
Dong-joo Yu, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AA in stolen bases with 32, aided the Ft. Polk South cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Flores told the Ft. Polk South Gazette.
