Moreno Delivers Walk-Off Win for Nationals
|
Phoenix Hotspur got a terrific performance from pitcher Habakkuk Baldonado, but it wasn't enough to beat the Ottawa Nationals. Ottawa won the Nationals Park contest, 4-3. Baldonado was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. Phoenix Hotspur, at 35-53, has lost 7 straight.
Ottawa won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Coy Mitoglou on the mound for Phoenix Hotspur, left fielder Júlio Moreno hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Nationals fans to their feet.
"Put a star next to this win," Moreno said.
