Youth Lose Again, 11-4, to Thunder Hawks
Getting a good performance from third baseman Roberts Hamhock, the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Phoenix Hotspur Youth, 11-4. Hamhock went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times for the Thunder Hawks. Jesús Silva, the winner, improved to 7-2. He held the Youth to 2 earned runs on no hits over 5 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 6. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Phoenix Hotspur.

Pozzuoli, Italy-born Ruggiero Veneziano came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st and the Thunder Hawks trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run to center to put Ft. Polk South on top.
