Richland starter Josh Waymouth pitched effectively against the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Waymouth, the winner, moves to 3-7. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 3 walks. The Rails now have a record of 33-45 with the win over Ft. Polk South.

Jing-quo Sung aided the Richland cause with a solo home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a home run.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Sung said.
