Multi-HR Game for Veneziano in 10-9 Win
In a high-scoring game between Ft. Polk South and Richland, right fielder Ruggiero Veneziano was a difference-maker. The 25-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 10-9 Ft. Polk South win. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Ft. Polk South, at 47-30, occupies second place in the Menard's AA.

Veneziano had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Eurauraga Attunga, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Thunder Hawks a 10-8 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Veneziano.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Veneziano told a Ft. Polk South Gazette reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
