Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Deuces
The inspired effort of Ft. Polk South right fielder Ruggiero Veneziano was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Virginia Beach Deuces. Veneziano went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. At 48-27, the Deuces have a slim two-game lead in the Menard's AA.

Late in the game, first baseman Victor Drenth had a big at-bat for Virginia Beach. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring double off Chris Whitfield. The play gave the Deuces a 6-5 lead.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Virginia Beach manager Elliott Taylor.
