Estrada goes 3-for-5, Thunder Hawks Move to 42-27
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks topped the Ottawa Nationals by the score of 16-6, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Aurelius Estrada. Estrada was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5 for the Thunder Hawks. César Soto got the win, improving to 7-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Chris Whitfield closed the game out for Ft. Polk South, earning his 1st save.
Ft. Polk South designated hitter Marc Ben helped the Thunder Hawks to the win. In the top of the first inning, the 25-year old catcher stroked a 2-run double. For the game, Ben was 4-6 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.
