Flamingos Come Back Late to Top Bowties
|
Las Vegas played host to Buckhead at the friendly confines of The Strip.
Las Vegas Flamingos starter Luis Peña turned in a top-notch performance against the Buckhead Bowties at The Strip. The result was a win for the Flamingos, 3-1. The Flamingos, now 44-33, have won 4 in a row.
Had Glyn Bolasky not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bolasky hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Flamingos.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban said.
