The Billings Polar Bears and Asheville Highlanders brought some excitement to The Igloo.
Asheville rode a fine outing from starter Patrick Nicolas to victory over the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo. The final score was 6-2. Nicolas picked up the win for Asheville, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-4. Wei Shan earned the save for Asheville, his 2nd of the year.
Werner Bowman, who was drafted in the three round of the 2031 draft, helped out the Asheville cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run triple. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs.
