Flamingos Knock Off Bowties, 7-4
|
It was a good time at The Strip, where fans came to watch the Buckhead Bowties and Las Vegas Flamingos get after it.
Las Vegas designated hitter Victor Adams had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Buckhead Bowties, 7-4. Kagetoki Matsubara earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Vaugh Chesser earned the save for Las Vegas, his 11th.
Adams contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Las Vegas in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Adams took a knuckleball from Rhys Maskell and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Flamingos to leap in front, 2-1.
"I like our moxie," said Flamingos manager JJ Hoban.
Las Vegas now has a 3-game win streak.
