Rails Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
The Richland Rails topped the Ottawa Nationals by the score of 4-1, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Tak-wai Jia. Jia was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Rails. Chris Holmes picked up the save for Richland, his 5th of the year. The losses continue to mount for Ottawa, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
Luo-lang Li, who is rated as the 63rd best prospect by BNN, aided the Richland cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Richland manager Kenny Billings.
