Multi-HR Day for Pugh as Rails Overpower Ogres, 6-2
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Steve Pugh, the Richland Rails defeated the Olympia Ogres, 6-2. Pugh went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Rails. Even with the win, the Rails have a dismal 10-21 record.
Pugh had a key at-bat for Richland early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Richland an early 3-0 lead.
"We'll savor this win," Pugh told the Richland Daily, "then get ready for the next game."
