With shortstop Jonathon Newman leading the charge, the Billings Polar Bears defeated the Ottawa Nationals, 6-4, at The Igloo. Newman went 3-3 with a double and 2 singles. Billings reliever Ashley Keetley picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Gerald Emerson took the loss. The Polar Bears saw their record improve to 16-14.

Newman had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fourth, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Polar Bears went on to win.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Newman.
