Victory Pushes Bowties Record to 45-27
|
Ron Manning pitched a gem to lead Buckhead to a 2-1 victory over the New Orleans Voodoo. The Bowties bumped their record to 45-27 with this latest triumph.
The Bowties got a big at-bat from catcher Mario Castillo. For the game, Castillo went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Buckhead a 2-0 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Castillo said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
