BC Squelch Rails Offense in Shutout Win
|
The San Antonio BC defeated the Richland Rails, 3-0, in M3L Double A action at Rails Ballpark, with San Antonio pitcher Jordan Coffey named player of the game. Coffey, now 1-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. San Antonio, now 7-4, has played well in the early going.
Jiao-long Xú helped out the San Antonio cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 2-3 with 2 singles.
