Behind a solid performance from catcher Kevin Malone, the Philadelphia 1776 BC defeated the Boston Patriots, 4-2. Malone was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the BC. Kenji Aoki picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-1. Eric Matson was tagged with the loss. The win puts the BC at 35-34, while the Patriots drop to 38-31.
Jake Grant, who is tied for 7th in the PL in doubles with 17, helped out the Philadelphia 1776 cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles.
Grant told a Philadelphia 1776 News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
