The Echo Park Lakers got a superb performance from pitcher Mark Collingwood, but the Panama City Piranhas still won the game, 4-2. Collingwood was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings allowing 1 run. Joe Khokar earned the save for Panama City, his 15th of the year. Panama City is now 29-41, Echo Park 32-38.

António Ramos had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for the Piranhas. Coming up with the bases loaded and Panama City trailing 2-1, he hit a bases-clearing double.

"I know we have our doubters," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
