Dodgers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Les Bleus
Quebec City got a terrific performance from pitcher Ryan Peterson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Brooklyn Dodgers. Brooklyn won the Ebbetts Field contest, 4-2. Peterson was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Brooklyn reliever Shinzo Kumagai got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Ángel Ruíz was tagged with the loss. The Dodgers now have a mark of 31-38.

Jérôme Masson swatted a 2-run home run for Brooklyn in the bottom of the eighth. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 2.
