Piranhas Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Express
|
David Gómez never let Wizarding get something going. The Panama City right-hander commanded his change up in pitching the Piranhas to a 4-1 win. The last-place Express have lost 4 consecutive games.
One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the eighth inning. Facing Wizarding hurler Dusty Fox, Quindarious Monday, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L with a .357 batting average, hit a single. The Piranhas went on to win.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Gómez.
