The Alloway Halberds beat the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 8-7, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Carlos De Jesús, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Alloway reliever Ryan Dull picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Paul Zucarelli shouldered the loss. Alloway is now 29-66, Ellenburg 36-59.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when catcher Manny Gonzáles, who is tied for 7th in the SAAA in home runs with 14, hit a 2-run single. The Halberds went on to win.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Halberds manager Wes Murray. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
