Disaster Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Flyers
|
Port Royal Disaster starter Aldo Raine turned in an exceptional performance against the Pennsauken Flyers at Ballpark of Port Royal, resulting in a Port Royal win, 2-0. The winning pitcher was Raine, now 1-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Chenor Njie converted his 16th save in 17 tries.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Chenor Njie didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Pennsauken trailing 2-0, Njie retired Vincente Flores to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Njie, with a wink.
The Flyers, now 40-54, have lost 4 in a row.
