Fighting Dachsunds Clip Disaster in Tight Contest
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds topped the Port Royal Disaster, 6-5, in USSL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The player of the game was Ellenburg pitcher and Punto Fijo, Venezuela native Benjamin Busto. Ellenburg reliever Félix Santiago picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Chenor Njie was saddled with the loss. Ellenburg has now won 4 in a row.

The Fighting Dachsunds were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when right fielder Vladya Pugiev turned a 2-1 fastball from Chenor Njie into a grand slam home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Ellenburg a thrilling 6-5 win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Busto said.
