Disaster Come Up Short at Ellenburg
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds eked out a 1-0 win versus the Port Royal Disaster at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Nobody did more than pitcher Paul Addison, who captured player of the game honors. Addison got the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed 4 hits and walked 6 over 7 innings. Addison allowed no earned runs. Shawn Stevenson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 20 save opportunities.

Ellenburg took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, shortstop Steve Albright hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Albright said after the game.

The Disaster, now 46-46, have lost 12 straight.
