Lake Monsters Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
Vermont second baseman Kevin de Bruyne played a vital role in his team's 10-5 triumph over Alloway. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Vermont. Mike Brandner picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 7 in 5.1 innings. Quentin Bowers earned the save for Vermont, his 2nd of the year.

The Lake Monsters got a lift from catcher Joe Davidson who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning off António Muńóz. It was his 38th RBI of the season and put Vermont in front, 1-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Davidson.

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Lake Monsters.
