Halberds Squelch Fighting Dachsunds Offense in Shutout Win
Alloway used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jack Joyner to down the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 3-0. The Halberds now have a record of 22-53 with the win over Ellenburg.

Tied up with the Fighting Dachsunds in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Halberds got a boost from second baseman Enrique Gómez. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Gómez saw a 1-2 fastball from Gerald Bolton and hit a run-scoring double to break the stalemate and put Alloway on top, 1-0.

"Jack is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Alloway manager Wes Murray.
