Tritons Topple Lake Monsters with Late Rally

Getting a good performance from center fielder Dave Yates, the Jersey City Tritons defeated the Vermont Lake Monsters, 8-6. Yates went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Tritons. The Tritons have now won 5 straight.
Pancho González's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Tim Sandaele for a 2-run single. It put Jersey City in front, 8-6.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Tritons manager Juan López, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
