Disaster Reel Off Another Win
|
The Port Royal Disaster extended their winning streak at Ballpark of Port Royal.
The Port Royal Disaster bested the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds by a score of 6-2, with third baseman Michael Brannon getting the main credit. On the day, Brannon went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Disaster. Port Royal reliever Luis Núñez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Paul Addison was saddled with the loss.
Port Royal right fielder Luis Ríos contributed to the cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Ríos was 1-4.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ríos.
The Fighting Dachsunds, at 20-40, have lost 5 in a row.
