Late Rally by Rocks Secures Win
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Cosmo Bjorkenheim, the Plymouth Rocks defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 5-2. Bjorkenheim went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rocks. Plymouth reliever Henry Henry picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Magnus Scheving was saddled with the loss. Earning his 3rd save of the year was T.J. Juckson.
Bjorkenheim had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 slider from Magnus Scheving, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Rocks a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Bjorkenheim.
"I really like what we did out there today," Bjorkenheim said after the game.
Plymouth is now 26-18.
