Fans who gathered at Wolf Den in Vancouver saw a good contest between the Portland Evergreens and Vancouver Grey Wolves.
Portland Evergreens starter César Albó pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Wolf Den in Vancouver, leading the Evergreens to a 4-2 win. Albó got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Albó allowed 2 earned runs.
In the top of the 6th, shortstop Yu-shu Tseng gave Portland the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Evergreens had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off Vancouver pitcher Andrew Moody changed that -- and Portland went on to win.
"The more wins we pile up," said Albó, "the more I like our chances."
The first-place Evergreens have a one-game lead in their division.
