Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Flyers

Both teams had their chances, but the Pennsauken Flyers eventually prevailed at Pennsauken Park.
The Vermont Lake Monsters got a superb performance from pitcher Mark Clift, but the Pennsauken Flyers still won the game, 3-2. Clift was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The 'W' lifts Pennsauken's record to 18-25.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Pennsauken right fielder Leo Cadden, facing Tim Sandaele, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Flyers the 3-2 win.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Cadden. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
