The Augusta Timber Hawks defeated the Alloway Halberds, 10-4, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Augusta center fielder Carlos Medellín was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Augusta reliever Bettino Banditelli was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Bob Browning. Today's win puts Augusta at 16-17, while Alloway falls to 5-28.

Uchino Akahito had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Timber Hawks. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Augusta trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
