Flyers Deal Rocks Painful Loss
|
The Plymouth Rocks got a sterling performance from pitcher Alejandro Ramírez, but the Flyers still prevailed, 4-3. Ramírez was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of shutout ball. The win was Sook Sung-Man's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Andrés Martínez took the loss for Plymouth. Pennsauken is 8th in the Silver AAA with a record of 13-20.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the 12th. With Pennsauken trailing 3-1, Leo Cadden hit a fastball from Andrés Martínez to left-center for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Flyers had a walk-off win.
Cadden said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
