Targaryens Lose, 7-1, at Ballpark of Alloway
|
The Alloway Halberds went home winners at Ballpark of Alloway, thanks in large part to starter Peter Glenn. Glenn silenced the Royse City Targaryens, enabling Alloway to grab the 7-1 win. Glenn went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-5. Alloway, at 3-26, occupies last place in the Silver AAA.
In the top of the seventh, Mareka Naidoo stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Targaryens were trailing 4-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Martin Besnier made a terrific pitch and Naidoo struck out. Gone was the dream of a Royse City comeback.
