Tritons Prevail, 4-3, Over Pennsauken
|
The Jersey City Tritons picked up a win at Pennsauken Park, knocking off the Pennsauken Flyers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jeff Enamorado, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Jersey City reliever Mat Tengku picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Manny Hernández shouldered the loss. The Flyers, now 9-17, have lost 4 straight.
Rubén Arce's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Manny Hernández for a 2-run home run. It put Jersey City in front, 4-3.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Enamorado.
