Targaryens Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
With first baseman Joe Karnowski leading the charge, the Royse City Targaryens defeated the Port Royal Disaster, 7-5, at Royse City Stadium. Karnowski was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Miguel Cervantes, his 7th. Royse City currently is in third place in the Silver AAA at 17-8.
Karnowski had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Targaryens went on to win.
"This team is on a mission," said Karnowski, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
