Targaryens Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Royse City Targaryens topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-2, in USSL Triple A action at Pennsauken Park. The player of the game was Royse City pitcher and Weston-super-Mare, England native Doug Freeth. Royse City reliever Miguel Cervantes picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Manny Hernández was saddled with the loss. Royse City occupies 4th place in the Silver AAA at 15-8.
Melvin Thomas made it 3-2, Royse City, in the top of the tenth when he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Targaryens win.
"This game tested our mettle," said Thomas.
