Flyers Nip Targaryens, 4-3
|
The Pennsauken Flyers did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Royse City Targaryens at Pennsauken Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Ron Stone, who captured player of the game honors. Pennsauken, at 9-13, sits in 7th place in the Silver AAA.
Raúl Javier Jr. aided the Pennsauken cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-2.
Javier Jr. expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
