Thrilling Victory Pushes Targaryens Win Streak to 5
|
Royse City turned a good effort from starter Fred Proctor into a win over the Athletic Club KC Reserves at KC Reserve Stadium. The final score was 4-2. Miguel Cervantes earned the save for Royse City, his 5th of the year. The Reserves fall to 5-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 2035 season.
Had Barney Heise not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Heise hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Targaryens.
Heise told a Royse City Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
