Flyers Drop Fighting Dachsunds, 6-4
|
The Pennsauken Flyers bested the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds by a score of 6-4, with center fielder Chris Williamson getting the main credit. On the day, Williamson went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Flyers. Getting the save was Manny Hernández, his 2nd. The Fighting Dachsunds, now 3-12, continue their slow start.
Enrique Ibarra hit a 2-run triple off Devin Gaines in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Flyers in front, 3-2. Ibarra had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Williamson told a Pennsauken Herald reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
