Halberds Lose Again, 8-4, to Targaryens
|
It was a fun time at Royse City Stadium, where the Alloway Halberds and Royse City Targaryens tangled.
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Mitsuhide Bando, the Royse City Targaryens defeated the Alloway Halberds, 8-4. Bando was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Targaryens. Joy-shan Men was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts.
Bando had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Seb Alport, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Targaryens a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Bando.
"I felt good up there," said Bando. "I saw the ball well."
Alloway, at 1-12, is off to a dreadful start in 2035.
