Port Royal Wins 9-7 to Continue Red Hot Start
|
Port Royal played host to Athletic Club KC at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Port Royal.
The Port Royal Disaster beat the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 9-7, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Port Royal third baseman Michael Brannon earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Paco Salazar was credited with the save for Port Royal, his 4th of the season.
Júlio Morín Jr., who is tied for 10th in the SAAA with a 1.044 OPS, helped out the Port Royal cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman was 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Morín Jr..
Port Royal, at 9-3, is off to a blistering start.
